What cars are in your household and how reliable?

ok I have a 12 plate scenic and so far this year it has faulty drivers door catch, rear discs and pads.
Have a new shape trafic, new intercooler fitted after it split.
08 197 Clio, new manifold and front springs .

My Clio - pretty reliable so far
Dad's - BMW 520d - very reliable so far but it's only a 15 plate..
Mum - Mini Cooper clubman s - very reliable, 2010 plate had it for 2 years now.
Gfs - fiat panda 64 plate - very reliable

My Clio - never let me down(I've fixed everything there is)!
Toyota Avensis D4D - Bullet proof
Peugeot Expert 63 plate - One split coolant pipe done under warranty

Best bunch of vehicles I've had in a while

Clio RS200
Merc E250 CGI cabriolet
Audi A1 1.4TFSI

So far so good, no problems.

New Polo Blue Motion - Brand new and boring as bloody death it's self.
R27 - So far so good - I reckon the engine is solid its everything else around it that's under suspicion

Renault kangoo 59 plate owned nearly 6 years it was reliable for 5 years but let me down a couple of time in the last 10 months .
Audi a3 tdi sline sportback 64 plate owned it since it was 6 months old its a cracking car no issues yet touch wood .
And with a bit of luck an alien green clio 200 very soon .

Thats one thing about these cars, its rare you hear of an engine issue. Namely its a lot of other things that seems to fail on these cars (which is good as engine rebuilds are pricey!!). Main pricey ones are the cadburys gearbox, the manifold and ball joints...

'Cadbury's' might be over-selling the box ? More "Tesco's value" i'd say.

But i would agree with many in that a 197 / 200 might be about the most enjoyable, but definitely the most expensive car to run i've ever owned. ****Touch wood i've broken the back of typical issues early in my ownership.

New Insignia VX Line -my daily drive
Audi A4 S-Line- the wife's daily drive
BMW 650 M sport - The weekend car
Clio 197 - the "driving" car

All reliable cars ( touch wood), had a couple of problems with a slight oil leak on the brake booster vacuum pump in the BMW but all in all a cracking car.

Believe it or not I only bought the Clio because I wanted something that I could "drive", I love my driving and go out whenever I have free time, the other cars are nice but you cannot throw them around corners like the Clio and it's a car that I feel connected to, plus it's something I can play about with in the garage...

My best friend has a 700bhp R35 Skyline. He would say exactly the same as you.

He has no doubts of his cars capability; but doing it on real roads and amongst traffic and other road-users is something different altogether.

He is the first to say that day-in and day-out i probably have more fun in my Clio than he does when he's in his Skyline. He's a tinkerer too. Not with this car though - as you eluded to above.

2009 Clio RS200 Semi daily and track toy...lol. Considering Renaults reputation i have nothing but praises for it!Love it!!!
1997 Toyota Hilux Surf, The Tank does all the towing and big jobs and nothing touches it in the winter icy roads, haven't spent a penny on it in the last 13 years other than maintenance, most reliable car ever.
1997 Nissan 180SX Drift Car, hardly done 1k miles in the last 4 years, takes all my money and only gives smiles in return...lol

Plus i have 5-6 other car at any one time as I'm car trader so tend to have a lot of different cars to drive when i get bored of mine.lol.
