An R27 from Luxembourg, an Ange & Démon, two Sport Auto Editions and another A&D from a friend we met at the RS & Alpine meeting in France.

We also had these two (R5 150 and A290 GTS) for passenger rides. If you want I can write a little about my impressions from both?

Beautiful built R11 with a turboed F16 i.e. from the Williams Clio.

R5 GT Turbo project from a buddy that also has an M4RS Trophy.

Contest winners. It's not really a contest as there are no rules. The orga just picks some cars for various reasons. The price normally is a role of toiletpaper with a unique hand knit cover (old German traveler tradition).

Foreign brands parking lot. Got a passenger ride in the Elise. Raw and exactly my cup of tea.

I'll maybe post some more later on.

Both cars make an astoundingly good impression when it comes to the looks but also the chosen materials and build quality. The only noticable fault was that the red trim line around the roof of the R5 wasn't aligning properly (height difference of half up to about one centimeter). With the Alpine which has a blue one it was much better.

The R5 had the denim (seats in jeans style) interior which isn't really my taste but optic and haptic are still convincing. The whole design from the roof liner down to the seats, door (cards) and over to the dashboard and displays is nice with little unique features sometimes in reminescence of the old R5.
The A290 has a more luxurious and sporty interior with better seats and so on. The interior also isn't as "playful" as the one of the R5. While the gear (drive mode) selector is on seperate stalk behind the wheel with the R5 the Alpine has three "Lamborghini style" buttons in the center console which look quite cool.
We could only get the Alpine to create a driving sound via the speakers. Not sure if the R5 has a soundgenerator and we just didn't found the button but it makes a difference if you get some acoustical feedback instead of just driving noise.
Both cars are quite small inside. It felt a bit like in the cockpit of a fighter jet in the Alpine. Especially the backseats aren't really usable for adults on longer journeys. The battery under the floor definitely takes it's toll here.

Both cars are quick. The R5 is presumably as quick as a 200 if not faster with four people onboard. The Alpine of course beats the R5 but it also consumes way more juice when pushed than the R5. We drove both within reasonable limits on roads we know well and sorrowly tested the performance also when it comes to the suspensions and handling and this is were both cars really shine. They're well done (setup) cars out of the box much like our beloved Clios are. Especially the Alpine which had bigger and wider wheels plus a slightly stiffer suspension performed extraordinarly well on the twisty backroads with some humps and bumps here and there.

I'd actually drive both of them but there still is one problem besides the usual EV things. The R5 has a list price of 32.900,- € and the Alpine in that config is listed around 55.000,- €. Which is waaaaaay too much for what these cars are and what you'll get. The R5 for around 25k (full) and the Alpine for 35k and we can talk but at this point that's "Gucci" you really have to want to own and nothing you'd buy because you want a hothatch and/or EV.

My Meglio buddy had this laying around. He can't use it as it collides with the Cup wing.

I guess that's at least 10 hp plus. What you think?

I tried a stubby aerial and found that whilst it looked a lot better than the OEM one it wasn't very good at receiving a radio signal. For some radio stations which had a weaker signal it was not very good at all.

The mk4 Clio shark fin aerial fits on to our cars nicely,

I don't listen to music much anyway and if then my stuff but I checked if it works and with the city stations it seems to be fine. He just gave it to me because the rubber socket cover for my original one had developed a crack and wasn't looking good anymore.

I know that the shark fin swap is relatively easy but I want to keep it that way.
