V6 Airbox pipe....

they were only a restriction due to the intake placement IE pressed up against the headlight back !

Depends how far back you mount it and consider the Cup Cars don't have arch liners or foglights so they probably get a bit more air up to them I would think when compared to a road going Clio. I'll ask at Oulton when the TOCA lot are in town.

i ment on a cup racer where people refer to it as an air restrictor. thats why

I found that the biggest problem for me was the xenon headlights - made the aluminium tunnel that I made a bit narrower in that place than the rest of the CAI.

Raptor you won't have the issue of the pipe kinking because you're LHD. On yours, the pipe fits nicely around the brake reservoir but in RHD the reservoir is on the other side (from memory) and so we have a big load of sound-deadening there instead which makes the pipe kink and deform slightly.

There's not much room behind those Xenons! Didn't realise they were so big at the back.

I know, however, the rubber pipe was rubbing onto the chassis so I trimmed it 1cm (0,5cm on each side) and now it fits perfectly.

Hahaha good work! I trimmed mine the same way and it made it a bit better. Could do with a hard pipe though, either that or cut/remove some sound-deadening... I'm tempted to do that anyway just for the extra noise in the cabin hahaha!

Don't think the hard pipe is a good idea (had the same thought plus the gold thermal tape wrapped around it for an extra heat isolation) but after some thought (and reading Simo's review of the R3 airbox) I came to the conclusion that there could be some problems with slipping off from the TB & airbox on the end of the pipe (you would need rubber hoses on each end to prevent the vibrations from the engine and to make it flexible when accelerating - when engine needs air it sucks it from the airbox and the thing moves a little bit if you understand what I'm talking about?).
