UPC Issues

Hi folks,

I've got a 197 Cup which has a range of electrical issues

Certain stereo buttons intermittently stop working
The fan stops working on number 4
The wiper washer fluid is intermittent
The headlights wouldn't go off once, despite being turned off.

Is this the UPC going nuts? And if it is, is it a write off or could it just be a fuse or something replaceable?

The fan not working on 4 will more than likely be an issue with the heater resistor plug - Check out this user post

I had to fix the same thing on my car, when I bought it a few years ago but it's now doing the same thing, so I need to see if I can fix it a bit more permanently...

Ah thanks. The fan stops working, then comes back to life. Same with certain radio buttons and the wiper fluid. It's weird, but I'll keep an eye on things. It's odd that it chooses to stop such specific things working, not the fan unit, not the whole stereo, not the full wiper stalk, just certain bits.
