Unknown module added to my Clio(R86s, AKACC3XSABKUP, Allianz)

Hello, does anybody knows what this is? R86s, AKACC3XSABKUP, by KFT/KFI, made around 2010-2011 and it seems it has the Allianz Insurance logo on it.
It was glued under the driver side panel and i ripped the label, it has 3 wires, one is black(mass), one blue and goes to one blue wire in the module for lights, cruise control and traction control, the last red wire goes to one generic thick red cable that goes outside trough the firewall.
Then there is a split that it seems it was added at a later date by someone else just to get power(worse work done) that adds an "pandora ar0315b1" some kind of small chip and another split to the lights lever.
If someone has an ideea what this is, how it works and for what it is i would really appreciate it. I will try tomorrow to connect to it via my laptop when i get an old mini USB cable, maybe i find some useful information.
The car is from 2006, module is newer than that and i don't know the reason it was added 5 years later, i want to take it out if it's not something needed.
Thanks.20250207_172720.jpg20250207_173733.jpg20250207_172737.jpg

Seems to be some kind of telematic-tracker from the car insurance.

Here's what I've found after a short search in German.

Is you car imported?
Yep, I searched Allianz telematics module on Google photos, and they gave me a picture of this module, what a useless thing, who does that, cutting OEM wires to add a thing like this:anguished:, I will take it out tomorrow and fix the wires.
In Romania there is no such things like this, I never encountered such device.
When I first looked at it, I hoped it was some kind of chip tuning box like race chip or whatever, but now I'm disappointed :tearsofjoy:
I thought, it might have been something specific to this car, that is why I posted here.
Thank you very much for clarification!

No problem. I also found this in a Skoda forum. Guess that's the box you have there.

Who does that? I'd guess somebody who wants to save the last dime on his car insurance? The installations seem to be rather adventures.

Yes, that is it.
Yeah, probably for some discount on insurance, I hope that type of thing never arrives in Romania, I drive like a maniac.
I don't want to be dramatic, but he could have easily started a fire, that is not how you mount stuff, if there would be millions of cars with things installed the way it's installed on mine it would be a fire hazard on every street (loosely duck taped the wires together).
