The other advantage is that the sidewall protects the alloy by protruding further out, so I can't actually kerb the alloy anymore!

contis are good very good but ive heard that the toyos are much much better and on that site they are a wee bit cheaper than conti contac3. from what i have read they have superb grip im getting a set of 4 at the end of the month hopefully

Not sure on this, just gone from proxes back onto contis, they offer much better grip and feel, they are an awesome tyre, I didn't rate the toyo at all tbh. Some guys get on with them, some say they are awesome in the wet, but the truth is.....they aren't! You get what you pay for with tyres and the conti IS a better option I have found.
