you can always run the pipe to pump more cold air into that area, rather than connect it directly to the intake.

my maxogen is alloy as well so i polished the inside with wet n dry for better flow,very gay i know!!!!

That's a great set up mate, what is fixing the battery down may I ask?

used the base of the original battery tray and cut it down mate then used heavy duty cable ties to secure it,its fixed well and has been for over a year now

Ah I see good weight saving over standard too, I look to do this set up at some point
