looking for some suggestions.
Anybody ever had any track day tuition that they would recommend , I would like do some preferably with a car provided.

cheers in advance.

It is the best performance up grade you can get.
Prices vary, but if you want a car provided as well it starts to stack up pretty steeply.
We do a lot at Blyton where we can do it pretty much as a private day, but any circuit is possible.
PM me if you want to know more.

The only tuition I’ve had is just booking some on a track day in your own car. I think this is probably the cheapest way you could do it and I can definitely recommend it.

As Nick said when you start hiring cars it’ll get expensive, I’ve seen on that Driver61 website that they have links to tutors who can provide cars and circuits but your going to be looking at big money.

I think most people on the Track Obsession day had to give up their tuition because the track was not open, I know our driver did.

Yeah it was a bad day for reds. Just unfortunate for the organisers really.

I've had tuition with Opentrack quite a few times and it's spot on

We have had a few 20min tuition slots on trackdays - all good, definitely worth doing.

I did push the boat out a few years ago and paid for a whole day of tuition 1 to 1 for my son Chris

Was it worth it - absolutely YES, Chris learned more that day than he would ever of learned on trackdays and short tuition slots. Not cheap but well worth it.

Not come across Opentrack before, do you mind me asking how much they charged for the day?

Hi Chaps,
I had tuition at Castle Combe. You can either use your own car or their cars.
I used one of theirs, it was a Fiesta ST (!), but don’t let that put you off.
2 instructors who were very knowledgeable and helpful. Both are current racers, in various series, and explained; lines, gears, throttle input & braking, and of course safety.
They let me do way more than my allocated laps too.
I learnt loads and am thinking of doing it again.
Cheers

Good point...
I was prepared for it to be rubbish - compared to the ‘Cup.
But TBH - no problem at all. Great little car and you focus more on lines, braking points etc than the actual car.
I had a fab day and was totally kn*ckered afterwards!

We all get a insular at times ref Clio's.

But the ST is supposed be excellent from every review i've read. And with a few mod;s and one of the "hundreds" of remaps available out there - is supposed to be a cheap weapon.

Yep. ST is very neutral and easy to drive. Overall a decent drive and a great car to learn with.
But looking forward to taking the Cup on track later this year.
