Touring America via Motorhome. Anybody done it?

I'd really like to do something like this but it wouldn't be cheap. Fuel alone is gonna be upwards of £1500 as their motor-homes aint the most frugal of vehicles.

When yer driving something that'll see single digit MPG though its still gonna be very expensive.

True, and as the quality of fuel is not as good I found the fuel gauge dropping faster than I'd expected!

Yeah I dont expect it to be cheap lads, I may not even do it for many years, who knows! Just wanted to know if anybody else had done it or even something similar

Ive not done it, but i do know a few folks that have, other option could be Greyhound bus it, then just hire a car at certain destinations.

There are also websites where you basically return the hire cars back to a certain base for someone else, so you get the rental very cheap
