timing belt change

If you fancy paying close to a grand to have it done then cool. They sell the belts as a kit, but you need the tools to do it as well. I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you the full lowdown, but most people usually go to a specialist to have it done, if you get it wrong it can seriously mess the engine up

no way I would be doing this alone  just need to get it done before the summer, cars hitting 5yrs old, the big question is whether there is a valve timing change wheel on the F4R or not, this is 200 pounds alone and even the dealer I service the car at wasnt sure.... 500 pounds on original parts if it goes without this one expensive wheel, and that includes new seals for the cams and the main shaft... discount on the labour as I am their customer for over 10 years now... just need to now if I should add another 200 pounds....

cam kits are around £150 - look at the site traders on here - they come with the rear cam seals

as for the "cam gear" - you mean the dephaser pulley on the inlet cam - if it has free play in it it needs changing if not then its fine

specialists usually do the job for around £500 - the 197 is alot easier than than the 182 to work on
