Time has come.. to pick up my nimbus cup

Look forward to the pics. Not seen many nimbus 200s anywhere.

Just be careful in the snow. It aint the best car in these conditions.

True.

Ours is out in the street as we cant get it up the little bump into our mono blocked cul de sac.

I've been driving to work in it the past few days. Numerous brown trouser moments. To summarise, and to quote my Facebook status on tuesday:

Clio 200: worst car ever in poor weather conditions. Low ratio gearbox = wheelspin in all 6 gears no matter how careful you are with the throttle. Traction control makes it worse. Big brakes grab and lock cold brake discs = slide. Contisport 3 tyres appalling in freezing temps. 17 mile journey home = 2 hours, and lot of stress.

Hope the weather stays fine for you fella! There will be no sleep tonight then! :thumbup1:

But other than that, awesome :thumbup1:

Really???

I've been driving 13 miles to work and back down ungritted country lanes in 6" of snow with an ice base layer and it has been fine. Maybe I'm just used to it after all these years?

Until it is 'run in' by the manual.

Aww man thats a fail!

My dealer actual told me to thrash the nuts off it lol! now the roads are better ive been at maximum attack everywhere! i love it!

Mike im with you. Also ithink the clio is great in the snow, Its no 4wd but i get plenty of traction and the car feels very stable.

I really like it, you can tell its going to be fast  -not sure if it will be quicker than my panda

Bui;ld quality seems pretty good too

Regarding run-in there are few different schools of thought -the current main two are: thrash it from new, or run it in gently and there are many different pro's and cons to this. But performance bike did a large review of each method and found the ones thrashed from the off made the most power, but had lower torque and consumed more oil. -the ones that were run in gently made less power but more torque and consumed less oil. -but worth noting is that the differences were circa 2bhp and 2.5lb/ft (at the fly) -so to sumarise it doesn't make a blind bit of difference lol (I hate motorbikes anyway :tongueout:)

Pics as promissed:
