Are these engines normally quite "ticky"?

Ive always thought mine sounded a bit ticky but as of recently, at certain rpms with the windows open it sounds reallllly ticky.

Have just changed oil to Fuch stuff but cant say its made a differance..

Mine used to tick before I had the cambelt and aux belts done.

I had mine inspected for this and was told the ticky sound was the water pump and that it was normal...

usually injectors make the "tick" noise....

not normally a rough sounding engine but you might get a bit more noise from using a better flowing oil!

cant say a water pump should be nosiey or make a ticking noise unless its faulty - they should run smooth and quiet...

as said cambelt adjusters can tick!
