this is the result at hitting a wall at the ring at plus 90mph

Hardly a write-off with such light damage.Allthough I'm going by the photos not a real inspection, but even so I think we would have repaired it no problem.
Quarter panel, door, wing, front and rear bumper covers, wheels?,alingment checks, repaint side I've seen a lot worse repaired .

I Would'nt make do with a "good mechanic"as a well repaired car (through insurance)could be very hard to spot .You really need a Vehicle Inspection Engineer with all the correct equipment and training(things like Elcometers ) http://www.elcometer.com/
A body shop guy that has worked with repairs if no VI avalible.
It would be a real eye opener for you to see what can be repaired through your insurance co. body shop.
I would'nt worry about a cosmetic body repair ,or wings, quarters etc they are every day repairs.

Thats why the ring is so scary even a well sorted car can come unstuck .

PS is your passenger there under her own will she looks very unhappy lol

I'd enthuse everyone to read our Nurburgring safety threads on CGTI before you head out on track. Its not a place for racing (unless you are taking part on VLN or 24 hour etc) and you shouldnt treat it as such.

Glad that in this case you were ok, and the car was repairable, and also glad you didnt have a £2k armco/recovery bill.

We also have a good FAQ here:

Be safe out there peeps. A biker died there while we were out a couple of weeks ago. Also, remember, you are uninsured at the 'Ring. If you dump your coolant and oil, then you will be held liable for anything that spins out or crashes as your fault. There are a few £000k claims going against UK drivers at present. With open ended total claim costs. Insurers are going after the individuals to recover costs.

Someone in a CTR was killed while we were there.

Again, I will not be taking mine round in June!
