197: The project continues...Just bought a Meg 250 cup engine and box

Thanks for all the positive comments. The engines collected today and now in mates garage. Engines looks very similar to 225 but the boost pipes are huge. Engines done about 5k.
Gonna be some interesting times ahead.....

Interestingly, just been reading about the 250 engine swap done in Spain. The mechanical stuff looks quite straight forward. The issues are (like the 225) the ecu but equally the VVT. The 225 doesn't have a VVT. They have kept the Sagem 3000 225 ecu and wired the senor and VVT actuator. They are running a Conservative map...and engines making 318 bhp.
I have tried to contact them but think they are keen to keep stuff 'secret'. Also the google translator isn't great. Anyone fluent in Spanish? lol......

When you say ecu issues with the 225, do you mean using the 225 ecu with the 250?

As there are zero issues using the 225 ecu with the 225 engine conversion.

i think he means using the 225 ecu with the 250 engine (225 doesnt have VVT, whereas the 250 does) well thats how im reading it.
