Whats the latest film you've watched?

All eyez on me - I am not a Tupac fan at all, just wanted to see the film...not to bad.

What's the best films you've watched?

Starwars, empire strikes back, return of the jedi.

What films would you recommend?

NWA straight outta compton, Dunkirk, Cannonball run 1 & 2...come one chaps!

Latest film I've watched: Mother!

Was really looking forward to this film, I love a good thriller and love Jennifer Lawrence even more but what a load of rubbish. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Best films I've watched:
There are hundreds to choose from but off the top of my head would be - Goodfellas, The Green Mile and Shawshank redemption. Newer ones would be - Dunkirk, Detroit and Baby Driver (soundtrack is unbelievable)

What would I recommend: I would recommend all of the above but to name a few less common ones would be - The Town, The Infiltrator, Sully and pretty much anything with Tom Hanks in! :grinning:

Great thread Chris!

Latest film:
Detroit. Another good film from D̶e̶u̶c̶e̶ Kathryn Bigelow. Strong performances by the actors, and has some pretty brutal scenes. Quite a shock when you know that it's based on true events during the riots. Not an 'enjoyable' film, but very good.

Favourites:
Sucker Punch. Proper marmite film, but I absolutely love this. There is a lot of depth to it and ways to interpret the storyline. Zack Snyder gets a lot of flack, but this is genius. Loads of theories online about what it all means. Awesome movie.
Armageddon. Cheesy as hell, but Michael Bay knows how to make incredible-looking movies. Good soundtrack too.
Eden Lake. Brit horror. Some nasty and uncomfortable scenes, quite a shock of an ending and leaves you feeling a bit unpleasant afterwards. I've seen it loads of times.

Recommendations:
Obviously all of the above. In Fear is another good, suspenseful British horror. Shell is a bit of a slow, plodding film, but also quite powerful. Not blockbusters, not starring anyone famous, but as a bit of a leftfield option, they're both good. IMO....

This was a great film Jimmy and whilst we're taking about British horror, I love Dog Soldiers, it feels quite old school in a good way.

Agreed with Dog Soldiers, another great film. I've always found the Brit horrors are a different breed to the Hollywood stuff, in a good way. The Descent is another of my favourites too, with an ending that was a bit of a surprise/twist.
