i know quiet a few poeple with corsa vxr's and cylinder 4 in 97% of cases goes because a lack of warming up and cooling down

Yeah but these are an every day car. I know cooling and warming your car is good practice (and I try to do this on each trip myself) but surely it shouldn't start throwing parts out of the engine unless you sit and warm your car before it turns a wheel. That's just piss poor engineering in my book TBH.
