Teetering on buying Akro- sell it to me -or not!

I was on the point of spending £850 with demon tweeks this afternoon on an Akro slip on but a moment of doubt made me stop dialling and put my plastic back in my wallet.

i just thought it's a lot of money for a different noise and some nice carbon sticky out bits.

Then I thought even if I didn't like it they seem to re sell well and the experience wouldn't cost me a fortune so I nearly dialled again!

i have deferred the task until tomorrow but I think I need either pushing off the edge or rescuing

Any advice out there?

I was exactly the same, dithered for about 12 months...... ordered it in June, 1 month wait, then i cancelled it three weeks in. Regretted it. Reordered it October. Again like yourself, i thought if i didnt like it i could soon sell it on.

Ive had it about a month, its a good system (i have the evo on a 197). I'm uber fussy with exhausts as i cant stand droning. This is good, you can drive around the noise if need be, up to 60 mph, its pretty much o.e sounding. Sounds bloody lovely outside the car also

If youre just after the slip on you'll have no issues regarding it being too loud imo.

Gutted they don't do one for the turbo or I'd have one already

Just been listening to a few on YouTube. The evo is definitely louder inside the car, I think the slip on might suit my elderly ears better

i bought one a few weeks back and will be fitting it tomorrow

its a different league compared to other exhausts. really nice build quality and just unwrapping it is fun!


get the eve system though - the little extra £ gets you the carbon tips and the power gains by removing the cat

My other thought was buy the evo system, then if that was too loud i was going to ditch the link pipe. Its fine though i'm *over30* and its fine!

When you say link pipe do you mean the section with the front silencer section down to the Y piece into the twin boxes

yeah thts the only difference between the slip on and full evo system AFAIK

(essentially the decat and centre section)
