Suspension subframe alignment help.

Hello all,
My nightmare all stated as a simple disc and pad change, which as I've read often enough the pins and both inside pad's were seized.
Got that sorted fairly easily, and then found a I had a snapped spring, while getting the spring off I managed to strip the thread on the bottom arm ball joint.
I then managed to re-tap the thread as a temporary fix.
When I went to replace the arm yesterday the only way I could see to get the front bolt out was to drop the suspension subframe, but while putting it all back together I found the gap at the front had increased (subframe had shifted). I assumed the bolts would align it all but obviously not.
Does anyone have any idea if there is a set dimension to position it to?
I also found the bolt to the lower engine was loose, cos the thread had striped in the mount on the engine.

I hope this is clear and thanks for any help anyone can give.

I have the same problem...subframe won't align, how can I fix this? I've put the subframe as far forward as it will go, yet a gap remains with the locating pins...can't really find why this happend...
