Strange noise when accelerating hard

So whilst my motor is in garage getting fixed I thought I'd ask a question. When accelerating hard, I mean upto to the beep when I actually change gear my car makes a really odd sound. For the split second the clutch is depressed I get a sort of screechy fluttering sound, it almost sounds metallic but I really couldn't pinpoint gearbox or engine, it does sound more engine area but either way it's a worry.

any ideas whilst it's getting warranty work done?

Just to add I don't get the noise when changing gear any other time, its
only when I drive it hard it does
it.

Could be the clutch thrust bearing ?

Possibly, my gearbox is currently in getting changed under warranty so could have been a precursor to that really.
