Starter motor heat shield

The Clio keeps blowing the starter motor fuse and I think it’s due to the heat shield been loose and shorting it out.
Is it realy needed or can it just be removed?

I’d try and fix up the heat shield.. I’d say it is required as Ben has been blowing starter motors with his missing I believe..

Fix it. I’ve burnt two out. Still can’t get it on there but wrapped this starter in gold to reflect at least some heat off of it.

Ok cheers think I’ll order a new heat shield then.
Iv heard that the 182 one is better as it’s non conductive?
