Spoiler end plates / caps

Hi all, has anyone sprayed or coloured their spoiler end caps? If so - did you just use plastic paint or did you have to prime it/sand it etc.

Any example pics would be great before I potentially do mine

It’s for my racecar rather than a road car btw
