Mine has a fixing screw on either side of the inside of the tailgate?? As well as bonded.

Ah, could well have been screwed on for extra security then. I did think they were bonded on as 'standard'.

Looking on the positive side, the previous owner could have had a Cup spoiler screwed on, but decided to change to a Sprint?? Therefore your luck would be in and the holes will line up
