Speed-& RPM signal

Hi,

can somebody tell me where i can get the speed- and rpm signal from? (for using a external shift light)

Not sure about speed but when I had a nitrous set up I took an RPM feed off one of the pencil coils.

I want to install one of these gear indicators:

They use the speed and rpm signal to calculate the currently selected gear.
