Soft brake pedal after rear caliper refurbishment

Hi all,

At my wits end with my soft brake pedal!

Changed both rear calipers a couple weekends ago, have now bled the brakes 3 times (Both front and back) using both 2 man method and pressure methods.

The pedal remains to be rock hard with the pedal slowly to almost the bottom when the engine is switched on.

The brakes still operate, being able to lock up the wheels and get the ABS to kick in, no errors on dash.

Before I start to cry has anyone got any advice?!

Thanks!

My initial thought is when swapping the calipers did the system get low on fluid at any point? I know when you get air into the ABS pump they can be a nightmare to get a solid pedal. I had something similar with mine when I first got it. With CLIP you can activate the ABS pump while bleeding.
