yeah but in theory there is no point in having dampening if you cant lower the centre of gravity

Meh.
Lower ride height and moderately uprated spring/damper is what you get from the V1 kit. Value for money cannot be denied with this setup. Haven't looked back since mine went in.
The best thing about it is that in the past with other suspension setups I have found that you can't push on down country roads. With KWs you can!

I'm on V1'S still need a full geo set up, pretty impressed tbf. Only lowered it 15mm or so from stock cup height.
If the koni's are similar to the mk2's, they'll lower 10-15mm and give you adjustable damping. Perfect.
