Semi Slicks

the R888,s are the most popular i would have thought,

like Stumac ^^^ says if they are good enough for the R26.R ( standard ) then surely they are good enough for our 197,s.

there cant be that many to choose from i dont think.

For track or road use?

Both...
I don't do much mileage everyday. So would be my tyres for everyday as well.
I live in South Africa, so wet weather isn't a problem.

I've just heard Toyo's wear very quickly. Someone I know used them on his Megane, and after one trackday, they were done.

I was considering the Bridgestone RE55's or the Dunlop DZ03G 's, both come in a hard compound

The Italian owners run Hankook RS2's & i did several trackdays & 5000 miles on mine.
I have the R888's GG compound on spare wheels these have more outright grip but sound like a sodding landrover on the road. The G is too soft.
The myths about R888's not liking wet tracks are also rubbish as i found out round Donington in monsoon conditions:smiley:

ive done 2 track days, 6 laps of the ring and about 7k road miles on mine an the fronts are just starting to look battered so they will be getting put on the back soon, its all about running the right pressures to ensure they dont get trashed on track
