RST supercharger

Hi guys

Whilst Paul was over here he mentioned RST has put together their own charger kit that retains the A/C.

Last I checked there's a car there now having it installed. Just wondered if anyone knew anything about it?

Numbers are close to 300 bhp not sure on torque Paul is putting a physical restriction into the charger outlet I believe to keep it safe on stock internals.

Personally I think I'd rather 250 meg it but good to see development for these cars hasn't died off and would be hoot for something that pretty much just bolts on and keeps the character of the n/a.

Also interested in finding out more info about it. I know there's an AG200 running a supercharger conversion with 300 bhp on standard internals for a while now. The only thing i'd be worried about is if something goes wrong and a replacement supercharger unit is needed, as they certainly aren't as cheap as turbos. But i'm sure there wouldn't be an issue as long as the undertray is attached to the car.

That will be my one.... it's had the conversion for 3 years and sounds and runs like new.... RST mapped it and removed the piggyback ECU, so standard ecu, standard internals and it was rolling roaded at 314.6, torque approx 230....

It ain't cheap..... but I believe at the time the AG was converted JAMSPORT didnt have an off the shelf kit, so bespoke adds hours and cost. If RST are doing it they will have it perfected im sure and will hopefully be able to keep the costs down. Can't fault the service from them at all and good guys as well....

Beanie sport offering drive in drive out Meg conversion for £4.5k I believe. Would need to be same ballpark imo

I'm thinking they would have it at around that.... 3 years ago was way over that value. I'm just glad I didn't spend the money, learned my lesson on loose my money on the Trophy

What gearbox does the charger conversion use?

I thought you were on here but I just couldn't remember your username

Had a quick chat with Paul at RST today, The car there should be finished by wednesday.

Ive asked him to give me a dyno graph layed over one of his 250 meg graphs for caparison, its not really a case of which one is better but im so interested to see the different graphs.

If you or Paul don't mind sharing I think there's a few of us that wouldn't mind seeing that graph Pete?

The lads name is Steve Hadjicostas, I'm not sure of the surname spelling but it's something like that. Its a Matt black wrapped one with rota's on. Black lights, red cage. He has mentioned on fb that he had it done but I haven't seen any dyno graphs yet. Would be interesting to see.

It's still being built by RST... Today he has uploaded pictures of all the hard pipe intercooler kit being fitted. Think he said a few months ago it's roughly 5-5.5K for the build.

Where I can see the porn?

Yea that's right I don't know the customer I just enjoy pestering Paul. Paul mentioned that the charger bracket is from Ktec but everything else is from RST. 5.5k for a from scratch kit is not bad in today's money. Once everything has had keys made and can be reproduced easily the price would drop to 4.5 to 5k I would imagine. Still pretty steep but it's bolt on so nice and easy to install and no fidling with looms etc and if you chose to forge it the charger can go to about 15 psi
