Good Morning,
I have a 2010 RS200, bit of a tidy up project after it was in storage for a couple years. Timing + dephaser done in October and car has driven well until recently.
Occasionally it will have zero power above about 4000rpm, and the intake noise is…. Peculiar. This can usually be fixed by turning the car off and on again. When it’s driving normally it is usually fine the entire time.
Forums pointed me towards camshaft sensor. Which I replaced, and instead of being broke sometimes, it was broken all of the time.
I then borrowed RS Tuner from a friend, and I’m getting DTC 0340 - Limits training, teeth missing, teeth.
Poked my inspection camera into the hole and it doesn’t look like anything is missing or damaged.
Is this likely a timing issue, or can this little frame that the sensor reads on the camshaft move?
Any suggestions to try would be greatly appreciated.
