Replacing a driver side window regulator

Evening all,

Has anyone replaced the window regulator on the driver side of a 197?
Mine's stopped working and after a quote of ~£360 from my local Renault garage to fix the problem, I thought I'd give it a go myself.

The motor sounds like it's still working and it looks like you can get a new third-party part for ~£50. I've worked out how to take the door panel off (following a guide on this very same forum).

I've seen a few postings saying it's a really quick and easy job but it all looks a little cramped behind the panel. Has anyone got a handy 'How to' guide they can share?

Cheers

Have you taken the door card off and had a play with the Actuator?
This is a common fault on the Megane and i have to do this to my R26 recently.

Water gets onto the electircs and corrodes the conection.

Thanks for the reply.

I've taken the door card off. I managed to dismantle the regulator and motor today.

On closer examination it appears that the drive screw on the motor has sheared.

Can anyone recommend agood new or used parts supplier that may have a motor (preferably on it's own)?

Cheers
