RenaultSport Spider ?

Kind of 'Spotted', although I very much doubt it is someone on heres lol I Saw this car today and it looked pretty cool from a distance, not a clue what it was so went in for a closer look, turned out to be a Renault! I have never seen one before and I didn't even know they existed! Any one know when they were released or anything about them?

They were used a few years ago instead of the clios for the race series.

Jason potato won that year.

They went on sale in the late 90's I think. Not many of them about, they had a race series that supported the BTCC for a couple of years. One downside is that they have no roof.

They are pretty sweet! Bet LY is nice! What engines do they have?

They weren't very well received as its main competitor, the Lotus Elise, is better in just about every way. You can get roofs for them, but they aren't what you'd call stylish.

They look great, but I can't help thinking that it was a bit of a half hearted effort? Like they couldn't really be that bothered after they designed the gorgeous front end!
