Renault specialist in the true north?

I live near Carlisle (9 miles east of) & need to get my timing belt done at some point (Clio mk3 200). But I’m also wondering about tuning specialists etc. Anyone know of reliable specialist mechanics/garages that can help me out? Dealer prices are a bit much lol

ALS Performance in Carlisle his brother raced Clio's he broke and sold a lot of Clio 172/182/197/200 used parts as well. He seems to be a more normal service centre last time I called in and does not make a big deal of being a Renault specialist but he did fix a 182 Clio that another garage messed up a timing belt change the engine ran badly so they convinced the car owner to put in another used engine in which had it's own preexisting faults the hole thing was sold to ALS performance he corrected the timing error in the first engine and refitted it and fixed the second engine as well I saw that car with my own eyes in the workshop. I used to stop in when heading down the M6 from Cairnryan on my way to the BSB rounds, as I'm in Northern Ireland I would pick up parts but I would trust him to do the job I don't know anything about price etc he can supply genuine parts I bought my genuine Timing belt full kit from him but I have a ex Renault master technician that I know and he changed mine with the kit at home. I think the guys name is Barry they are in the Kingstown industrial estate they may have changed the name to ALS Autocare now but if Barry is still there should be no problem.

Sounds great mate, cheers for the advice. I’m surprised I’ve never heard of them, they do seem to have changed their name but I’ve found them. You are right they no longer define themselves as Renault specialists but I will pop in and check what’s up.
