Removal of clock pod?

How do u remove the pod that the clock sits in? I got a scan gauge and want to fit it there and hide the cable and don't want to snap any clips. What's that best way to remove it? Cheers.

Flat blade screwdriver and it just pops up.
its got them metal V clip things.

think all you need is a hammer Mike to get it to fit
