Recaro Tilt Release Cable

Has anyone ever replaced the tilt release cable on a set of Recaros?

The drivers side on mine will release the seat to tilt forward but doesn’t release the seat to go forward on the runners.

How do I go about replacing the cable?

Is it an easy job or should I get it done professionally?

Who I believe has sorted / got parts to sort it ? He maybe able to help

Are you gents sure its the cable thats broken? Theres a part that unhinges near the runners to allow the seat to move forward. If you look underneath there is a bar that is attached to two spring loaded mechanisms. Sometimes bits fall off or come out of place.

Nah yeah you're right, drivers one is fine. The passenger one I tilt then have to move forward manually [emoji23]

I have exactly the same problem, of which the part is about £40 from memory. I've not fixed mine as yet, as it's not often I have rear passengers.

I've been told it's not too difficult of a job, you remove the base of the seat held in by 4 screws, and should be able to re-thread the cable. It may be a case of taking the base off and visually inspecting if it is a simple job, but I'm yet to tackle it as yet!
