Rear discs and pads for 197

Hi,

Can get the genuine Renault rear pads, discs and abs bearings for a 197 for around £220 (unless a trader on here can beat it!)

But anyone tried and can comment on this kit which is £50 cheaper of ebay?

Incase anyone has any other recommendations or alternatives to avoid insurance problems disc have to be plain.

You can get rear discs from MTEC for £150 and Mintex pads for another £15. I believe they drill and groove their discs in-house so it should be possible to get just plain discs from them. Another advantage is that they can also offer protective coating which prevents the discs from rusting. However having said that, the kit you're looking at also includes 2 rear hub nuts which should ideally be changed. Although they don't look OEM (like these http://www.roadtrackraceparts.com/renault-hub-nut-rear-renaultsport-clio-197-200.html) they're still better than nothing. But ultimately, they should be ok if I’m honest as they don't seem suspiciously cheap and have extras with them that you wouldn't really get elsewhere as part of a whole kit.
