Rear Caliper Rubber Dust Seal

Hi,

I recently changed my rear brake pads and made a complete hash of one side and ripped the rubber dust seal quite badly.

Is it fairly straight forward to replace and do I need to be careful of anything?

do you mean the piston rubber cover ?

or the caliper slider rubber cover ?

oh - you did cock it up then :001_rolleyes:

not changed one on the 197 set up - but some calipers have the seal lip on the inside of the piston bore and you have to remove the piston to fit a new seal - others you just basically just pull off the old seal and flick the new one on

but like i said not done a seal on the 197 - if i had known earlier i could have had a look and given advice as i did a full strip and clean on mine today
