Re-Map best places to go...

how would your average garage check for a map? would need the diagnostic equipment for every manufacturer and have to know what to look for.

Dont know how a remap would fail on a roadworthy test.

IIRC none - oem maps are ok at idle and hit the emissions targets etc, but basically under load are outside the manufacturers specs, and so there will be tests to reveal such maps (vague I know but it's all up in the air atm).

thats the thing...its moving away slightly from "roadworthy" to "compliance" especially with regards to emission standards

go on the vosa site and there is nothing at all about the changes, only new reg changes for braking, steering etc... I think its rubbish. -Can anyone find anything official?
