Radio problems

Hi guys,

is there a way to stop the radio on a 197 turning itself up? I want to put my aftermarket radio in but the last time I did it still kept getting louder when I drove. I asked Renault about it and they said you cant switch it off. There has to be a way round it surly?

Read your radio manual. There's a setting in the radio you can change which stops the radio getting louder when you drive and stays at a constant volume.

Not sure why that would happen with an after market radio.

the last time I had mine 197 I switched it off and then put my after market one in and then it sort of worked then went back to default. I have spoken to Renualt and they have no idea how to stop it? I am putting my sub and amp in so if it goes to loud it could pop my speakers

Pretty sure on some cars its a wire conected to the headunit lyk a speed sensor
