Car moved and sat in its new home.

Engine and box out for inspection and clean up.
Cage mounts Finished.
Air jacks install to finish.
Cage in.
Dash board to finish and mould.

So engine is just about ready to come out. It will sit on the engine stand for a while as I strip and clean everything. Internal will be standard with arp bolts for now and I will change cams out before it goes back in.


As for the shell there’s no a lot more to strip. So the next job is to finish welding the cup racer mounts up for the cage and get the cage sat in place. Then I can start on odd jobs like the new dash, brackets for column, raised floor, etc etc. Also new welding table will arrive this week. A massive 2.25m x 1.25m so I can will have a decent size surface for all my
Fab work.



Also just put got this dash from Matt at select. Perfect timing I can get this wired up and fitted to the new dash I’m building. This is the last big purchase for a while now as I have loads of parts non fitted so time to make some headway.

Small adjustments on switch box more of an appropriate position in the car just need to finish some small details on bracket and get it welded in

Nothing physically done on car but got a screen setup for my cad work so I can get cracking on seat mounts and other brackets




On the other hand it’s been an expensive week as my welding table has come and so has my dash2 pro
So going to be having a play with that

Some progress last night in and around engine bay. Car handled like a dream when I bought it but but this picture shows all was not well....

Firstly I can only find one lifting point and someone on Facebook said it should of been in the tool kit in the boot but mines long gone. However I noticed the r3 in there building guide if anyone has one or the other let me know





Next one of the bolts needed grinding off and secondly I learned my car doesn’t like springs. Ha in the skip for that lot.

Final engine out and ktec manifold off next to get box off and on engine stand rated for a big clean and check over.


Lots of stuff going over in vapour blaster over next few months. One thing Iv just come across is a ktec aircon delete which looks like the lighted and cheapest options anyone run one?

Engine finally on stand. Gearbox split away. Little milestone can now start striping and cleaning and preparing for Itbs.
