Pre-Cat removal (again)

Has any1 removed the pre-cat yet from the standard manifold yet?

(i mean knocking out the internals)

Ive done it but just fitting it is a pain because you gotta remove the sub-frame!

I've been thinking about this and wondering if the 182 manifold has the same dimensions as the 197 manifold.

If it does the 182 manifold doesn't have a cat in it so swapping the mani over could possibly be an option for people?

ive got another hollowed out manifold but dont wanna take sub-frame off and refit it twice if its poor on performance or souunds gash.

I think that Simo has removed the precat and fitted the Y-pipe.

Sounds the tits! Flat spot is quite gay for every day driving. Will be mapped out hopefully!
