Pioneer Tweeter Fitment

Anybody had an issue getting the tweeter in I'm on the phone to car audio direct...

Had them on my 197

no issues fitting them. Think I did a how to guide on here in 2010 when I had the car

The OEM tweeter is hard to get out at first. I used 2 blunt knifes, one each side of the tweeter to pry them out

Pulling out the old tweeters I'm finding to be the easy part. The pioneer tweeter seems to be too deep to get in. It sits proud of the dash "/

Yeah, I found them a pain. I literally bashed them in until the tweeter cover clicked into place.

There seems to be a piece of plastic inside the tweeter hole that's stopping the tweeter going in - anybody seen this?

I don't remember mine having plastic in. Did yours have tweeters originally?

Put the tweeter in first and then put the cover on. Makes it miles easier plus you'll be less likely to crack the cover.

Sweet ill give tht a go - only issue I hav is the tweeter not being secure...
