Picked up my 197 and loving it :0D

Gotta ask though..... Is it natural for it to rev so high at low speeds?
6th Gear doing 70 is at around 4k.
Also what are the best and cheapest mods to get the best out of her?
Air-filter maybe?

yeah panel filter is the best bet mate for a cheap mod. That sounds about right I would have thought for 70, Id say between 3500 and 4k (from memory)

Thats why I don't get mine, Renault state its the original box, its a late 2006 so would expect it to be the dodgy box. Unless someone has "fixed" the internals.

197 & 200 box = 20mph/1000rpm in 6th = 3500rpm approx

Not sure yet...... Only had it 2 days so just wanna enjoy it.
Am not into messing around from standard but I think a nice K&N would be a subtle improvement?
Wanna get the wheels powder coated asap in anthracite gry as well.! Lad in Barnsley does it for £20 a wheel!!!
Any sugestions what I could do to it?
