cheap petrol all the way when i had the 197 and still do with this corsa. Ive never thought much of expensive petty!!

I've used both and never noticed a difference in performance, mpg seems a bit better on higher octane though.

Read under the fuel flap. I only use 99, momentum is the best. Car runs better on it, but the car should be ok on normal.

Momentum99 is the daddy! Always run on that.

You poor people only 95 or 98 and sometimes 99! You need to get over to Germany and fill up on some V Power Racing 100 octanes! It does the trick lol :thumbup:

They recommend five a day but I'm not died yet...

I do put the better fuel in mine a lot of the time, but I don't worry if I don't tbh. It says on the fuel cap 95-97RON

That's what i use too! Noddie, we get it tax free mate, so it's about half the forecourt price, say 80 cents a litre.

But seriously like Si said your driving style is far more important in terms of mpg, but when on the limit at a circuit I have found 99 and V-Power make the car feel a tad more eager.

Due to the Unique way the British Army work over here in Germany we get this fuel tax free so just shy of 1 euro a litre.

€2.10/l for 102 octane in Germany this June. So it isn't cheap at all lol!

The car is capable and designed to run on 95 RON, I read somewhere it is an EU law that it must be capable of running on lower octane fuel. However Renault obviously have performance in mind and if the fuel cap recommends higher octane then it will run better on it. Either way Shell V power has many cleaning properties for the engine so I'd use it just for that (no I don't work for them lol).
