Painting centre caps

Not sure if this is the correct section but feel free to move it

Just wondering how to achieve a matte finish on centre caps,
I have black spray paint from my last car and wondering if just using matte laquer is enough to achieve a matte finish or if I need to use special paint.

It's just that I have a whole can of black that I'd like to use, it's not for the RS wheels it's for a set of winters (quite like the different colour centres haha)

i'll second on the plasti dip, my whole rims are done out with it and are very 'matt' black Provided your paint doesn't work off course!

cheers, They're bang on when they are clean, but quite a pain to keep them so!

Well my winters are satin/matte powder coat so there is a wee "sheen" on them asked around and a matte lacquer will produce a matte finish on whatever you spray, but unfortunately matte lacquer costs a fortune!!!
