Only Rear Strut Brace

I think it has pretty much been proven a rear strut brace does absolutely nothing. Purely aesthetic.

So no, you won't see any negative affects.

The front struts are right up against the bulkhead so that acts as a strutbrace.

As said though rear struts will probs do nothing.

When you look at that big old beam sitting between the rear suspension underneath the car, I can't see the need for any additional bracing.

They do look pretty cool though and it's something to tie your shopping bags to if you fancy a spirited drive home from Tesco!!!

The suspension would work by applying force upwards and slightly forward, a rear brace would only increase suspension rigidity if the suspension tried to force the struts inwards ( as is the case with most front struts ).

Would it be possible to mount harnesses onto the rear strut brace? Or is that a no no?

Only advisable if you don't like your face and have a fetish for the sound of snapping bolts. :worried:

You can get a specific strut brace bolted to the rear arches that will accept harnesses safely, its a specialist installment though
