Oil level for track use

First track day with the Clio on Friday. Should I top her up with oil or leave it a few mm. below the top mark to minimize frothing and foaming?

Frothing? You're filling your cars up with the wrong stuff, fairy liquid is not a lubricant!

But seriously just make sure the oil levels within the bounds of the dipstick and it should be fine.

You want it as close as possible to the max IMO. just under the max or on it.

The car goes through a lot of strain and oil starvation isn't one that you want either.

If its close to minimum, defiantly top it up

Frothing is a serious problem that occurs when the oil hits the crank assembly during hard braking, cornering or acceleration, instantly turning it into foam. Air does not lubricate, so foaming can be just as bad as oil starvation. A sump with well placed baffels helps a lot. I guess it's not a problem with the F4R since I haven't seen any posts about it.
