Next car.....????

My next car will probably be a cheap runaround so that Nicole can become more track orientated.

Beyond that, there's not much I'd swap her for unless I came into serious lottery money. And even then she'd still stay as a shopping car...

I agree, i plan on getting onto the property ladder next year, and the mrs is due a new car before me, so the clio will be staying for the foreseeable future!

Thats the problem with the clio, its so good for the money its hard to beat and if you want something 'better'/ different but as new you have to spend alot of monies. I went for a focus rs in the end because insurance on the tvr t350 i really wanted was rediculous at 21 :worried:

Everyone's gonna hate me for this but I'm gonna go for the new focus st

I wont hate. I think they're really nice, I'd happily have one of them. I think it has to be Blue though, some of the pics of yellow and white seems to bring out the worst in them. Seen one or two of them around Barnsley, but it is Hot Hatch central around here.

I HATE YOU!!!

I like them bar the bottom of the bumper on the front. Looks like an after thought to me; lazy design.

Last time I was in Bangor, I saw 3 Focus RS Mk2 in one 2 minute journey! Green, white and blue (and it wasn't a meet :tongueout:). Beat that!

Probably keep the 200 or swap it for a more track focused car and get a BMW 550 touring, Audi S6 avant or similar as a daily.

Or depending on what my leave/work ratio is in my next job, get an in warranty Nissan GTR or 911.

I keep thinking about changing all the time, good thing the 200 is so good to drive otherwise my house deposit fund would have been wiped out repeatedly!

The yellow isn't for me but I do like the white colour on it I am yet to see the blue.

Its nice, its very purple though (seems different to the previous model). Reminds me a lot of Imperial Blue they used to do back on the Mk4 Fiesta Zetec S'.

I would be biased towards that, as my Fiesta ZS was Imperial Blue

I've only seen one new ST, in a compound I drive past all the time. It's in blue, and looks quite nice (from the back anyway!)

Next for me? I'm afraid it's likely to wear a T5 badge, I'm going soft you see!

This is one question thats driving me insane atm what with the problems im having.

Do i buy a 265 trophy on a rather tempting 4 year plan and be £350 out of pocket every month for a further 4 years.

Do i stick with the 200 paying £325 a month on something that ultimately i wanted to keep forever but now with this steering issue i hate driving.

Do i buy a R26/Meg 250/R32 Golf/S3 resulting in driving pleasure and a smaller outgoing a month on a loan

Do i buy a scirocco tdi/golf tdi be left bored and out of pocket every month

Do i buy a cheap fun car, old S3 or similar, smiles and no monthly payments but missing the perks of a newer motor.

ARGHHH i do like the new STs and the new VXRs too

265 Trophy. Sorted

265 Trophy. Sorted

You won't be disappointed!

There is one for sale I believe(black one)

Or you can get a 265 cup and spec the recaros, monitor and £1000 wheel upgrade.

But you only get 265 with the button pressed unlike the trophy which is 265 all the time.

Its mega tempting. May have to arrange one for test drive.

He said its start stop...how good is the renault system? Come to think of it i dont think its a trophy he quoted on but all the 250/265s are tempting!

there are NO new trophys left.

iirc there were 6 sold with the 4+ package so it may be second hand, i know a black one is for sale privately on the 4+ package which will have the remaining 3+ years servicing.

it is the same as a 265 cup with recaros, monitor and the wheel upgrade though. at a guess thats cup + £2500 worth of extras.

only difference is 265 isn't available in LY yet (later this year it is) and you have to hit esp to get 265 (its 250 otherwise) where as the trophy you don't its there all the time.

You can just get a cup.

It's no where near as poverty spec as a 197/200 cup.

Monitor only adds a few toys to play with and throttle mapping which I love but it's not vital and nor is the wheel option.

I got 7k out of my fronts + 2 evenings at Bedford and brands. They are at mates rates £200 a corner and best I could get them without was £215.
