Hey folks!

Just a quick post to introduce myself, recently bought a Clio 197 after downsizing cars so we can build our double garage and do the garden this year!

Deep black
62k on the clock
Scorpion exhaust
Cup suspension
Retrimmed steering wheel

Hello & welcome to the friendliest site on the Interweb! Car looks great as do your previous cars. Enjoy Clio ownership, they get under your skin! Something about having to rev 'em (naturally aspirated hot hatches) to get the best from them is addictive! A joy that will soon be reduced to something from the past. Please enjoy it while it's something available to us!

Nice cars mate. Your Clio has the Cup spoiler and splitter which are a must for the 197 IMO.

Welcome! A 197 with the full aero kit is very special looking indeed, nice that you also have the 200T for a few more creature comforts, should you need them.
Any plans for this at all? Would be a shame not to take it on a track :wink:
 
Welcome mate, very nice looking motor.

Seeing yours is making me want to get my gloss black wheels on, been trying to hold off until we get some nicer weather.

Best of luck trying to keep her clean through the next few months!!

Similar taste to me in terms of cars....I'll be honest too that's the first ever FN2 I've looked at and thought looks half decent..! Can imagine that was an absolute beast s/charged.

Keeping it as is or a few more modifications on the way?

Yeah the 200T is a nice bit of kit! Plans wise, I’d be looking at fitting a set of bucket seats with harnesses and roll cage. Then get the car on a diet to see if some weight can be shed. I’m lucky that I live 1 mike from work so the car very rarely gets driven so it doesn’t need to be a daily driver.


But Knockhill is pretty much on my door step so I’m sure it’ll grace there a few times!

Yeah the FN2 was an awesome piece of kit. It shifted very very quickly, the noise of the thing was crazy too!

Few modifications planned, I’ll be looking at probably turning it into a track car at some point.

Knockhill - so another Scottish member. I'm up there with the bike for the track days a few times a year.
