My RS('S)

PBS are struggling to find someone to make back plates for mk4 pads so I’ve gone with a set of DS2500’s & after what happened with the Hel lines, I bought a set from Proline Motorsport, these fitted just like OE with no rattle

What a difference [emoji41]

They’ve given me loads more confidence in the whole car [emoji123]

Also, being in the right place at the right time, I found a set of mk4 meg centre caps for sale

Think they need the edge painting black, for the rear, a set of H&R 5mm slip on shims

I’ve never really been bothered with all the black - silver diamond bollox, I haven’t really been feeling the front, so another purchase, this time from Diamond Performance

Looks loads better

9 years apart, job I was on 10 years ago now at Hunslet in Leeds, shame that space was taken

Long ass day but it went well

I still can’t believe how small the OE cooler is [emoji15]

Great results even if Paul did leave the AC on [emoji85]

Lovely Nick, nice to have all the goodies on there now, should give you peace of mind when hammering it around the Nurburgring!
Did you also have the air blades fitted to direct the airflow to the rad?
When you say Paul left the AC on, you mean the condenser was left in place? If so, then yeah, it can be done. My radiator is still in bubble wrap, but was there a difference in size between the OE and Pro Alloy? Just wondering how much additional coolant is required.

I didn’t bother with the blades on Paul’s advice

Temps now drop quick. He did 5 runs on the rollers, all identical. MPG is up a bit

He left the ac on when he put it on the rollers, we only noticed when he took the car off [emoji85] he said could be 2 - 4 bhp extra

Pro alloy rad is wider, you can just see above in the pic, I could of asked. My coolant is now green not yellow, it’s been flushed through. I’d get 5 ltrs

1 lap down, pro alloy parts are working really well, it recovers really well, just a shame it’s so busy, don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Porsche’s [emoji15]

As it’s car Friday here, the place is chocka

Before I went I gave it a coat of mother’s CMX ceramic spray coating, good job after all the flies the front end caught. They came off with ease, highly recommended [emoji106]

Looking amazing Nick, my mates were out there around then, Red old 911 (wide arched on gold Compomotives), Red E46 M3 (with LS3 in it), Blue E46 M3.

Looks like you had a blast mate, good to hear!
