My cars dead HELP.

Can someone please help?

Driving down the dual carriageway and doing about 80 I got a warning light on the dash (traction control), then I get all hell break loose with it telling me to check injectors etc so slowed right up only for the car to pretty much lose all power.
Now I've limped off at my nearest exit and tried starting her up again and am met with a horrendous knocking/banging noise from the engine and revs dropping right down as if it's gonna cut out.

Any suggestions as to what it could be?

I've called the AA out and they should be with me soon but it's not sounding good:-(
Gutted!

Oil level is fine, I've just looked at the engine and there's oil coming from the top of one of the spark plugs.

It's only done 21k miles!!
Would I get anywhere if I complain to Renault if it is that bad?

Gutted I've only had her 4weeks:-(

Cheers mate.

Just a quick thought.......could it have anything to do with the 64mm tb fitted? It's been fine since Friday when I fitted it though so would be confused if it is that.
We are looking at the plugs now and there's no sign of oil down in by the plugs themselves so even the AA guy is confused with where it came from:-/

I thought that but apparently all looks fine down there.
And they've said it won't be the belts as its ticking over:-/

Ticking over or turning over? 2 very different things.

Does it start? If it starts then it's ticking over (idling) if it doesn't start it is turning over.

When I ran a 64mm tb on my car I got a message saying 'Check Injectors' when I went over 4000rpm and the car went into limp home mode. I left it on for a couple of days and the problem never went away so I took it off and all was well.

Take a picture of the oil leak, I bet there's a strong possibility it's leaking from a screw on top of the engine on the left hand side which is a pretty common fault and can be fixed by taking the screw out, putting some sealant on and putting the screw back in.

Just got home from a garage. I've left the car with them for the night.
It's the coil pack by the looks of it now. Was running on 2?? The outer 2 coils did absolutely nothing when he disconnected them. Confused the hell out of me as I know sod all about engines at the best of times.
Anyways new coils and plugs ordered and will be fitted 1st thing, if that fails to fix it I'll swap the tb back over and see what happens from there.
Definitely not the belts though so that's at least some good news.
Although they are due to be replaced in 2weeks anyway! Expensive month lol.

Cars now fixed:smile:
The electrics burnt out in the new TB!!
£180 later I have 4 new coils, new spark plugs and the original TB fitted.
At least it's all working eh.

I am there as a possibility at the moment mate:smile:
Should be ok for it but the missus is talking of going to london that weekend for my birthday do may end up being a no go:-(
