My 5th service is due but my car has only done 21000 miles :S?

Hello, a bit of newbie to the forum. Basically I don't do that many miles in the car (about 1000 a year) and was wondering if I still need to change the belts on my 5th service? being that my car has only just gone over 21,000 miles :/ ?

They say 5 years due to the deterioration of the rubber, you could probably get away with skipping the cambelt but it's a big price to pay if it does unfortunatley go

on the 200 models the cambelt is due to change at 6years, and its the same as on 197 models where its 5. so you could easily skip 1 year with the belt imo.

Pretty sure the manual now says 6 years for belts, I'll check my 197 manual but I'm sure it says 6.

Knew i'd seen it somewhere, chart says 6 years and my R27 book says 6 too.

If you can afford to do it now, at 5 years, then do it. If it were me and I had the funds, I would do it, purely for the peace of mind.
